As from 11th April 2023 Warrina Medical Centre will change to a mixed billing practice.

To allow us to continue to provide quality healthcare we are changing the way
we bill our patients.
Medicare rebates no longer cover the rising costs to continue providing
you and your family with good quality healthcare.

• Out of pocket fees will apply.
• Payment on the day of consult will be required

Claims can be sent by us to medicare rebate appears in your account in 24/48 hours.

Please remember that from the 1st of November, 2023 consult will be bulk billed for

• Kids under 16 years old
• Everyone with a valid and up-to-date: Health Care Card, Pension Card and DVA Card.

New patients are welcome:

•We bulk bill new patients under 16 and patients with a valid and up-to-date Health Care Card, Pension Card and DVA Card.
• New patients 16 and overcharges are: $120

Why we can't bulk bill everyone

The medicare rebate, your rebate, only covers a small portion of the costs of providing high-quality healthcare. We are not subsidised by State or Federal Government. We are a locally owned small buisness, like many other general practices.
With Medicare rebates not increasing and general practices receiving lower rate for bulk billing, add to that the rising costs of running a
practice, we can no longer absorb these costs and maintain quailty care.

Bulk billing will remain available for the following services:

• Care Plans.
• Health Assessments.
• Mental Health Care Plans.
• Current Age Pension Card.
• Veteran Affairs.
