Implanon is a hormone implant used as contraception. The implant is small, the size of a matchstick. It is usually placed under the skin in the non dominant arm. A pre insertion consult with your GP is always needed.
How long does the contraception implant work?
This method of contraception can be effective for up to 3 years and can be taken out at any time.
How long does the procedure take?
The procedure usually takes 10-20 minutes.
